About Lauta Oy – Finnish wood products since 1948

About us

Wood for visible surfaces since 1948

Lauta Oy is a family company from Lempäälä, Finland, that has manufactured timber for interiors and construction since 1948. Wood has always been at the heart of what we do, and today we focus on timber for every visible surface – indoors and outdoors.

Our values are customer focus, consistent quality and reliability. They have carried us from one generation to the next, and we want to bring the possibilities of wood within reach of as many people as possible – in Finland and around the world.

Production

Planing mill and painting line in Lempäälä

Our journey began in Lempäälä with sawing and planing. Over the years we have given up sawing logs, and today we run a modern planing mill and an industrial painting line.

Over the decades we have built up solid know-how in shaping and using wood. We put it into every product – and we are happy to help you find the right wood for your project.

Responsibility

Responsibly from forest to surface

Wood is the foundation of our business, so we use the best raw material available. Our raw materials are PEFC certified: the wood comes from forests that are managed in an ecologically, economically and socially sustainable way.

Our products carry the CE marking, which means they meet the essential requirements of EU directives and regulations. We have also calculated the carbon footprint of our operations.
